ACC1700A (RAULAND-BORG)

The Rauland ACC1700A Armored Cable Handset is a heavy-duty handset/hookswitch assembly designed for wall mounting in security communications applications. The unit, when used with the Rauland SEC1016 Visitor Telephone Interface Module, constitutes an inmate/visitor communications system. With the addition of a telephone network, the unit may serve as a staff telephone in Telecenter systems installed where vandalism is likely to occur. The ACC1700A incorporates carbon-type transmitter and a dynamic receiver in a beige “500”-style handset to provide full duplex communications. A chrome hanger with a two form “C” hookswitch is included on the brushed stainless steel face plate. The unit mounts in a standard two-gang backbox. Tamper-proof hardware is included. The handset is secured to the face plate by means of an armored cable, with internal strain relief.
